# Implement a repair claim set up {#ariaid-title1}

Configure the Manufacturing repair claim system to manage product repairs, dealer submissions, and claim approvals across your OEM and dealer network.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin or sn_claim_cmn.warranty_specialist

## About this task

Use this task to set up the repair claim system in Manufacturing Commercial Operations. The system manages repair claims submitted by dealers and tracked by OEM administrators. Complete these setup steps to enable repair
claim functionality across your environment.

## Procedure

1. Review the entities and relationships within the [Repair claims data model](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/tuz4aTHQBNrwBoHjhQjShw "The repair claims framework enables the dealer to raise a reimbursement claim request for the repair of the equipment or product that is under warranty contract."), including tables added or modified by the repair claim plugin.
2. Configure repair claims: Complete the following tasks to set up the repair claims in your environment.
   1. Install Manufacturing repair claim management \[sn_repr_claim_mgmt\]: [Install Manufacturing Commercial Operations](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/hdABccBZL_Oj5B7FAoPFTw "Install the Manufacturing Commercial Operations Core application with the admin role.").
   2. Set up product models and parts: [Configure product model](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/4~xdZ1mZ4bstbhUtsFrx2w "Create and activate product models for finished products, parts, and components in Manufacturing Commercial Operations (MCO).").
   3. Set up assets and install base items: [Configure assets](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/ykT6ywkyoNrFwRxB8XfbBA "An asset is a specific product or instance that is supported for a customer.") and [Configure install base item](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/WMqfgEIhQJghkYIHGPKTWQ "Create and configure install base item records to track sold products and assets associated with customer accounts.").
   4. Set up dealer hierarchy: [Create channel partner](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/Tsh42g2bAU2DXQGME2MoNw "Create a channel partner to streamline and help manage the sales process of a product or a service for an enterprise.") and [Create internal business location](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/7c2YfIG1BhwilGSU7hgbJg "Create an internal business location to enable users and consumers to create accounts, contacts, consumers, and households.").  
      Note:  
      Use the Partner Relationship Management data model to set up channel partners (external entities) and dealers (external trading partners to the OEM). Model company-owned dealer outlets as internal service organizations using the Service Model Foundation.

3. Work with repair claims (OEM): Use the Agents (CSM/FSM) workspace to create and manage repair campaigns, phases, and claims.

4.
