Configuring topics provide information about how to set up and configure the Service Portfolio Management application.

## Configuration overview {#SPM2-configuring__id_vrh_xp4_2cc}

To activate Service Portfolio Management, its plugins, and the sample content pack, you must have the admin role. To set up services and commitments, you must have the portfolio admin role or the service editor role.
