# Create an appointment through incident {#ariaid-title1}

Schedule an appointment on behalf of a requester through an incident
record.

## Before you begin

Role required: itil or admin

## Procedure

1. From the navigation list, select List.
2. Under Incidents, select Open or Assigned to me.
3. Select the incident for which you want to schedule an appointment.
4. Select the More actions icon.
5. From the drop-down list, select the option Book Walk-up Appointment.
6. In the Walk-up Appointment Booking window, enter the required details to book an appointment on behalf of the requester.
7. Select Submit.

## Result

* A walk-up appointment record is created.
* The Walk-up Appointment option appears under the Related records tab for that incident. You can see all the Walk-up appointments related to the incident.
* The requester is notified of the appointment. The requester can also see the appointment created on the home page under the My active items widget.
