# Close resolved incident

# Close resolved incident {#ariaid-title1}

Close a resolved incident when the user is satisfied with the provided resolution.

## Before you begin

Role required: itil_admin or admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to Workspace ExperienceWorkspacesService Operations Workspace.
2. From the left navigation, select ListIncident.
3. In the Incident section, select Resolved.  
   List of incidents with Resolved state is displayed.
4. Open an incident record with Resolved state.  
   For more information on viewing and updating incident information and resolution, see [View and update incident information on the Overview tab](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/6ZJ5lZc63TAqEOfGcrEQHg "View and update the incident information, such as summary, impact, cause, and resolution, from the Overview tab. This incident information helps you analyze the issue and resolve the incident quickly.").
5. Select Close.

## Result

The incident record is closed and a success message is displayed. You cannot further edit the field values in the incident form.
