The form designer allows you to customize elements in the problem form to create
different form views, display a field navigator, or provide field properties.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## About this task

Form design is an alternative to configuring forms that combines several configuration options into one tool. You can make and save changes, then return to the browser tab with the open
problem form and reload the form to test your changes. Using the form designer lets
you try out the changes you want to make for the best result.

## Procedure

1. In the form context menu, select ConfigureForm Design to open the form designer in a new browser tab.
2. Follow the directions in [Form design](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=c_FormDesign&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-administration&ft:locale=en-US) to customize elements in the problem form.
