For more information, see [Create a template from the incident form](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/dhTrYzCMV~ey5NsOeYUWmw "Create a template that define default values for forms so that users can easily create incident. You need to have appropriate permissions before creating templates.").

Role required: itil, sn_incident_write, or admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllIncidentCreate New.
2. Select the more options icon ![More options icon]() and then select Toggle Template Bar to see all templates in the template bar.
3. Select a template to apply it on the incident record.
When you apply the template, it replaces the existing field values with the values defined in the template and retains the values for fields not included in it. Make sure to copy the details to your clipboard before applying the template.
