Create an approval definition that can be used in release tasks for getting approvals.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_dpr_model.product_manager, sn_dpr_model.release_coordinator, or sn_dpr_model.release_admin

## About this task

An approval definition is a set of rules that specify how tasks will be approved from a set of stakeholders for a release. For example, the QA team might approve code quality or the Security team might approve on the security
aspects. An approval for a task can be requested from an individual user or a user group.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesDigital Product Release Workspace.
2. Select the release administration icon (![Release administration icon.]()).
3. On the Release administration page, select the Approval definitions tab.
4. Create an approval definition or update an existing one.
   * To create an approval definition, select New.
   * To modify an existing approval definition, open the approval definition from the list.

5. On the form, fill in the fields.

6. Select Submit.
