# Copy a KPI group

# Copy a KPI group to create a new KPI group in Digital Portfolio Management {#ariaid-title1}

Release version: Australia
Updated March 12, 2026
![](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/portal-asset/ico-clock) 1 minute to read
Create a new key performance indicator (KPI) group by copying an existing KPI group in Digital Portfolio Management (DPM). All the KPI records, supporting KPIs, and mappings of the KPI group are copied as well. After you copy the KPI group, you can modify all aspects of it so the new group best fits your
needs.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_dpm.dpm_admin

## About this task

This procedure uses the KPI groups Copy button. To see the Copy button on the KPI groups page, you must have the Team Performance \[sn_team_perf\] plugin
activated.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllDigital Portfolio ManagementKPI groups.
2. Open the KPI group in the list that you want to copy.
3. Select Copy.
You can update the KPI group after you copy it, as specified in Step 5.
4. Return to the KPI group list to find the copied KPI group.
The copied KPI group name is the same as the one that you copied with Copy of in the front of the name.
5. Open the copied KPI group.
You can change the name, description, and order. You can also change the supporting KPIs and the KPI group mappings.
6. **Optional:** Delete a KPI group.
When you delete a KPI group, you delete the KPIs, supporting KPIs, and mappings of the KPI group. There are a few ways that you can delete your copied KPI group (or any KPI group):
   * Select Delete while viewing the KPI group (it's next to Copy).
   * Select the box next to the KPI group name in the KPI group list, and then navigate to Actions on selected rowsDelete.
