# Set up Windows registry keys

Track and manage the Windows registry keys that are configured for monitoring with DEX on end-user devices.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesService Operations Workspace.
2. In the primary navigation pane, select the DEX Administration icon (![]()).
3. Select Configure on the Windows registry management card.
4. On the Windows registry management page, select Add registry keys.
5. In the Add registry keys form, enter a full path name for a registry key and an expected value.  
   The expected value can't be a JSON object and must be a single primitive value, such as a string or integer.  
   Note:  
   The maximum character limit for a registry key path and an expected value is 1024.
6. Add one or more keys by selecting Add.  
   You can manage up to 20 keys.
7. Select Save.
