# Export demand financials as an Excel or CSV file

# Export demand financials as an Excel or CSV file {#ariaid-title1}

Export the costs or baseline comparison data for a demand to share with stakeholders.

## Before you begin

Role required: it_demand_manager

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesPortfolio Planning Workspace.
2. Select the Demands icon ![]().
3. Open a demand from the List page.
4. Select Financials from the navigation menu.
5. Select the Export icon.  
   ![]()
6. In the Export side panel, select the file type as Excel or CSV.
7. Select the Export button.  
   The financials data is downloaded as an Excel or CSV file with name_fin_mmddyy naming convention. The breakdown of the naming convention:

   name
   :   Contains the first 10 characters of the planning item name.

   fin
   :   Indicates that the file contains financial data.

   mmddyy
   :   System date when you export this data.

   For example, if you're downloading financials data for a planning item named Documentation on January 26, 2024, then the file name reads documentat_fin_012624.  
   Note:  
   You can export financials data from Cost view and Baselines comparison view.
