# Edit a dashboard {#ariaid-title1}

Customize or edit a dashboard by adding sections, filters, images, lists, process mining maps, and rich text. If the dashboard has been shared, any changes you make are applied globally.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin or apw_admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesPortfolio Planning Workspace.
2. Select the Demands icon ![]().
3. Select Edit.
4. Select Add new element.  
   A list of available elements appear in the drop-down.
5. Select a widget type and configure it.

6. **Optional:** Drag to move the widget or resize.
7. Select Save.
8. Select Exit editing mode.
