The resource assignment form enables you to create a resource assignment record for a demand.

| Field | Description |
|-|-|
| Assignment type | Type of the resource assignment, either User or Group. |
| Resource | Resource assigned to work on the demand. Note: This field is not available when the Assignment type value is Group. |
| Group | Group assigned to work on the demand. If a resource is selected, the primary group of the resource is populated by default. |
| Role | Primary role of the resource. If a resource is selected, the primary role of the resource is populated by default. |
| Skill | Primary skill of the resource, such as Networking or UX design. The values listed in this field are dependent on the Group and Role fields. |
| Effort type | Type of effort requested from a resource. The available values are: * Hours * FTE Note: The value of a FTE (full time employee) unit is eight hours. * Person days {#create-resource-assignment-form-ppw__ul_n2r_twz_wjc} |
| Effort | Count of the required effort in terms of hours, FTEs, or person days. |
| Name | Name of the assigned resource. |
| Task | Demand associated with the resource assignment. This field is auto-populated. |
| Start date | Start date of the resource to work on the demand. This field is populated with the planned start date of the demand by default. |
| End date | End date of the resource to work on the demand. This field is populated with the planned end date of the demand by default. |
| Resource status | Status of the resource assignment. The available values are: * Approved * Unapproved * Unassigned {#create-resource-assignment-form-ppw__ul_twy_331_j3c} |
| Rate override | Option that indicates whether to override the resource rate to match the organization requirements. |
| Ready for review | Indicates whether the resource assignment request is finalized and ready for the resource manager's review for allocation. The available values are Yes and No. |
| Notes | Information about the resource assignment. |
