# Create a custom list in My lists

# Create a custom list in My lists {#ariaid-title1}

Create a custom list of records from any table in your ServiceNow AI Platform instance to access a saved, filtered view of records from the Lists panel in Collaborative Work Management (CWM).

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_cwm.cwm_user

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesCollaborative Work Management.
2. Select Lists under from the Quick access section of the navigation panel.
3. Select the My lists tab.
4. Select Create new list.  
5. Create a version of an existing list or define a new list.

6. Select Create.

## Result

The list appears under the My lists tab for quick access. You can return to this list at any time without reapplying the columns or conditions.

## What to do next

After creating a custom list, you can:

* Add a record to the custom list. The record is added to the source table directly from the list view. * Edit a record from the custom list to update record details without leaving the list view.
