Configure notifications and alerts to monitor your Instance Observer instance and receive alerts when specified conditions are met.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## About this task

Use this procedure to set up self-serve alerts that notify you when specific conditions occur on your Instance Observer instance. By configuring notification rules and alert criteria, you can monitor instance health
proactively and ensure that the right people receive alerts through their preferred channels. The configuration process takes approximately 10-15 minutes.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllImpactPlatform HealthMonitor.
2. Log in to Instance Observer and navigate to AlertsConfiguration Notification.
This tab displays how many notification rules you have and also allows you to create notification rules. These rules notify you when an alert is triggered, determine who receives alerts, and through which communication channels.
3. Select Create Rule to create a notification rule.
4. On the form, fill in the fields.
