Configure and activate the get regulatory analysis agentic workflow that uses AI agents to enrich regulatory alerts with external context, classification, summarization, and recommended potential impacted items.

## Before you begin

Install the ServiceNow Otto for IRM plugin (sn_irm_gen_ai).

The regulatory alert recommendation and summarization skills are required to generate enriched insights and identify impacted areas. For more information, see [AI-generated recommendations for a regulatory alert skill](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/Um1EPwblCdNSXyLNGYsmBg "The recommendations framework is designed to deliver actionable, AI-driven insights directly within the user interface. It provides rich contextual information about recommendations, empowering users to make well-informed decisions and take follow-up actions seamlessly. The scalable and flexible design supports multiple recommendation types and complex business scenarios.") and [Regulatory alert summarization skill](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/Ds_sujTcLDYKWI~PVrmpWA "The AI-driven summarization feature is designed to provide concise, AI-driven overviews of regulatory alerts directly within the regulatory alert record in the Compliance Workspace. It offers contextual information, including important dates, regulatory authority details, and key changes, helping users to better respond to new alerts.").

Role required: sn_nowassist_admin.nsa_admin or sn_aia.admin

## About this task

Important:
This agentic workflow is active by default. All fields are read-only except for the Triggers and Channels and status sections. To modify other fields, clone the workflow. Currently, you can't edit agent prompts or provide feedback for training.

If you have the RCM user \[sn_grc_reg_change.user\] role and the sn_grc_comp_genai.reg_change_ai_agent_user role, you can get regulatory analysis using the get regulatory analysis agentic workflow
in the ServiceNow Otto panel.

This workflow uses web search to enhance alert context, summarizes the alert, and recommends
potential impacts on citations, policies, and control objectives to support faster and more accurate compliance decisions. The regulatory alert must be in the New or In Progress state to generate analysis.
Note:
You can add or remove AI agents from this workflow by making a copy and customizing it. For more information, about copying agentic workflows, see [Duplicate an agentic workflow](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=clone-aia-usecase&version=australia&pubname=australia-intelligent-experiences&ft:locale=en-US).
You can perform the following actions on ServiceNow Otto workflows if you have the sn_generative_ai.nsa_admin role:

* [Duplicate an agentic workflow](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=clone-aia-usecase&version=australia&pubname=australia-intelligent-experiences&ft:locale=en-US)
* [Modify an agentic workflow](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=modify-aia-use-case&version=australia&pubname=australia-intelligent-experiences&ft:locale=en-US)
* [Delete an agentic workflow](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=delete-aia-use-case&version=australia&pubname=australia-intelligent-experiences&ft:locale=en-US)

   {#activate-rcm-agent-workflow__table_sjz_rdq_ghc}
   Note:
   The user identity type that this agentic workflow runs under determines the roles and the data access permissions derived from them. Remember, when agentic workflows can access data, they can also share that data
   with the human user who interacts with them. [Learn more about access control list rules](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=access-control-rules).
7. Select Add triggers and configure conditions that start the workflow, such as when a new regulatory alert is created.
   Triggers can include record conditions, schedules, or inbound email.

## What to do next

Use the Testing playground to [test your new agentic workflow](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=test-aia-use-case&version=australia&pubname=australia-intelligent-experiences&ft:locale=en-US) using example utterances.

Verify that the enriched insights and recommendations are generated. If activation fails, check roles and skill configuration.

After confirming the workflow performs as expected, you can get started by selecting
Get analysis from the Ask ServiceNow Otto action menu on a regulatory alert page or by selecting Get Regulatory Analysis from the ServiceNow Otto panel. The regulatory alert must be New or In Progress to generate analysis.

If you have not already set up the ServiceNow Otto panel, for more information see, [Activate the ServiceNow Otto panel standard chat](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=activate-now-assist-panel&version=australia&pubname=australia-intelligent-experiences&ft:locale=en-US).
