# Activate or update a framework and install citations using the Unified content management

# Activate or update a framework and install citations using the Unified content management {#ariaid-title1}

Activate or update your chosen framework and select the citations for the framework you've selected. This will install the framework and the selected citations and metric definitions on your instance.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_esg.admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllOperational Sustainability ManagementOperational Sustainability Workspace.
2. Select Unified content management.
3. Select the version for the required framework.
   1. Select Activate.
   2. Read the disclaimer and select Agree.

4. On the citations page, select the required citations.
5. Select Next.
6. On the metric definitions page, select the required metric definitions.
7. Select Submit.
8. To update a framework, select a framework and select Update.
