Warum und wann dieser Vorgang ausgeführt wird

The playbook experience for onboarding connectors is activated with SGC Central in the Service Graph Workspace or CMDB Workspace. To configure the SGC Central application, see Configuring SGC Central and for more information on how to interact with a playbook, see Interact with Playbook.

    Prozedur

    1. Use one of the following methods to open SGC Central:
      • Navigate to Workspaces > Service Graph Workspace, and from the left navigation panel, select the Ingestion icon to open the SGC Central view.
      • Navigate to Workspaces > CMDB Workspace > SGC Central.
    2. Navigate to Workspaces > CMDB Workspace.
    3. In the CMDB Workspace, select SGC Central.
    4. On the Overview page, select Create connection.
      Tipp:
Alternatively, you can select Create connection on the All connections page.
    5. On the Create connection window, select the Datadog connector type, and then select Configure connection.
A default connection, SGO-Datadog Connection, for Datadog is available within the application. As the Service Graph Connector for Observability - Datadog supports only a single instance, you can configure the default connection for the first time or resume editing it thereafter.
    6. Install the Observability Commons for CMDB application (sn_observability) for event ingestion.
      Hinweis:
The Install Observability Commons for CMDB activity appears only when the Observability Commons for CMDB application (sn_observability) isn't already installed. If event ingestion isn't needed, you can skip this step by selecting Continue for the Install Observability Commons for CMDB activity.
      1. In the Prerequisites stage of the playbook, select the Install Observability Commons for CMDB activity.
      2. Install the Observability Commons for CMDB application (sn_observability) from the ServiceNow Store.
      3. After you have installed the application, select Continue.
    7. Enter connection details and test the API connection for importing Datadog data.
      1. In the Setup stage of the playbook, select the Create and test connection activity.
      2. On the form, fill in the fields.
Tabelle : 2. Configure and test connection form

        API key Datadog API token.
Application key Datadog application key that works together with the API key to provide user-level authentication.
      3. Select Update and test connection.
      4. Once the connection test is complete, select Continue.
    8. Wahlweise: Configure the connector properties to access resources.
      Hinweis:

      1. In the Setup stage of the playbook, select the Set configuration properties activity.
      2. In the Hosts filter field, enter host tags in the key:value format to import data only from hosts that match the specified tags in Datadog.
        Hinweis:
For multiple entries, separate the tags with commas. Example: datadog:monitored, env:production.

In the example, the filter includes monitored hosts in the key:value format as datadog:monitored and env:production. Therefore, the data from only these hosts with matching tags are imported.

      3. Select Continue.
    9. Wahlweise: Fetch monitors from Datadog to use the webhook for sending updates to your ServiceNow instance.
      Hinweis:
This step appears only when the Observability Commons for CMDB application (sn_observability) is installed on your instance. To skip this step, select Skip for the Configure observability activity.
      1. In the Setup stage of the playbook, select the Configure observability activity.
      2. To fetch all the monitors from the Datadog environment, select Fetch monitors.
      3. After fetching the Datadog monitors, select the check boxes next to the monitor names in the Datadog monitors section and then mark them as active by selecting Mark as active.
In the table of fetched monitors, the active monitors are set to true, and inactive monitors are set to false in the Webhook Active cell for that monitor.
        Hinweis:
        • At least one Datadog monitor must be active for observability to work.
        • To exclude a monitor, double-click the value in the Webhook Active cell for that monitor in the table of fetched monitors, select false (if it is currently set to true), and then select OK.
        • Any update in the Webhook Active value is synced between ServiceNow and Datadog.
      4. When at least one monitor is set to true, select Continue for the Configure observability activity.
    10. Configure the import schedule to import data at regular intervals.
      1. In the Setup stage of the playbook, select the Configure import schedule activity.
      2. Expand the Parent scheduled data import within the Import schedules list and select the SGO Datadog - Hosts import schedule.
      3. Select the Active check box, and then fill in the run schedule and time details.

For more information, see Schedule a data import.

      4. Select Save.
Alternatively, select Execute Now to execute the import schedule immediately.
      5. Select Continue.
