Review and configure the settings of the Now Assist for Configuration Management Database (CMDB) CI summarization skill to restrict the availability of the skill to certain users or conditions.

## Vorbereitungen

Role required: admin

## Warum und wann dieser Vorgang ausgeführt wird

The CI summarization skill might scan activated plugins, activated applications, and CMDB tables. The skill uses the Now LLM Service to generate summaries.{#now-assist-cmdb-config-ci-summary__table_r1s_bl3_1dc__entry__2}

| Detail type | Requirements and dependencies |
|-|-|
| Discovery | The CI summarization skill extracts details from the Discovery source and Most recent discovery CI attributes. If CMDB 360 is enabled, the summary can show additional discovery sources for the CI. For more information, see [CMDB 360](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/XR19OO83T13l43jwc4D85w "CMDB 360 retains complete history about discovery sources and proposed values, involved in updates of CI attributes. Use CMDB 360 data to track how the CMDB is populated by various discovery sources at the CI attribute level. Also, to revert CI updates from a specific discovery source, or to recompute attribute values using updated reconciliation rules."). |
| Alerts | Event Management must be activated for the CI summarization skill. For more information, see [Event Management](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=c_EM&version=australia&pubname=australia-it-operations-management&ft:locale=en-US). |
| Security vulnerabilities | Security Operations must be activated for the CI summarization skill. For more information, see [Security Operations](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=security-operations-landing-page&version=australia&pubname=australia-security-management&ft:locale=en-US). |
| CI ownership | The CI summarization skill determines the CI ownership based on the attribute that is specified in the glide.cmdb.health.ci_ownership_field system property. For more information, see [CMDB Health system properties](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/5Qjg1ySNZYBqTWZ4LreZ~Q "Configure the following system properties to customize how CMDB Health monitors and evaluates CIs health.") and [CMDB Health](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/NyBaS6P15nmPL~s6u2YgGg "A healthy CMDB, based on health benchmarks in an organization, is essential to an effective and continuous use of the product. Health indicators such as duplicate CIs, required CI fields, and audits are evaluated and aggregated into health scores at the class, health group, and service levels. CMDB Health also provides a framework for applying standardized CI remediation."). |
| Data on the CMDB Health Dashboard | The Correctness Score Calculation scheduled job improves the accuracy of the summary details on the CMDB Health Dashboard. For more information, see [Enable and configure a CMDB Health Dashboard job](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/jovBDXoPgZg1YJeL1wT3fA "Enable and configure the CMDB Health Dashboard jobs that process CMDB Health tests, to start calculating CMDB Health scores for the completeness, compliance, correctness KPIs, associated metrics, and relationships."). |

By default, all skills exist in the global domain. When you use Now Assist in a domain-separated environment, users are only able to access data in their domain. For example, if a user uses the summarization skill, Now Assist only uses material that exists in the user's domain when generating that summary. Additionally, there is no co-mingling of data for domain-separated instances when using generative AI skills. The data
resides only on the instance, and the shared services used for generative AI do not persist any requests (prompts) and responses. For more information, see [Domain separation in the Now Assist Admin console](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=domain-separation-in-the-now-assist-admin-console&version=australia&pubname=australia-intelligent-experiences&ft:locale=en-US). (Note that global domain is not the same as global scope. For more information, see [Exploring Next Experience pickers](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=next-experience-pickers&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-user-interface&ft:locale=en-US).)
