You can get someone's attention in a group conversation by mentioning
them.

## Warum und wann dieser Vorgang ausgeführt wird

Users can set their notification preferences so they receive notifications only when
they are mentioned. Mentioning a user creates a shortcut to view their basic
information and send them a direct message.

## Prozedur

1. Open a Connect group conversation.
2. In the message field, type the <kbd class="ph userinput">@</kbd> character.  
   A suggestion menu appears with the names of the conversation members.
3. Select the person you want to mention and send the message.
