Connect is active by default on new instances. For upgraded instances, you can activate the Connect plugin (com.glide.connect) if you have the admin role.{#t_ActivateConnect__ActivateConnect}

## Vorbereitungen

Role required: admin

## Warum und wann dieser Vorgang ausgeführt wird

If you used Collaboration in the Fuji release, the Connect plugin is activated
automatically.
Wichtig:
Connect is not supported in Next Experience. If you turn on Next Experience, Connect functionality will no longer work. See [Next Experience](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=next-experience-landing-page&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-user-interface&ft:locale=en-US).

## Prozedur

1. Navigate to AllSystem ApplicationsAll Available ApplicationsAll. {#t_ActivateConnect__find-plugins-cmd}
{#t_ActivateConnect__navigate-application}
2. Find the plugin using the filter criteria and search bar.
   You can search for the plugin by its name or ID. If you cannot find a plugin,
   you might have to request it from ServiceNow
   personnel.{#t_ActivateConnect__p_cb1_nfg_h1c}
   {#t_ActivateConnect__find-plugin-cmd}
{#t_ActivateConnect__find-plugin}
3. Select Install to start the installation process.
   Hinweis:
   When domain separation and delegated admin are enabled in an instance, the administrative user must be in the global domain. Otherwise, the following error appears: Application installation is unavailable because another operation is running: Plugin Activation for \<plugin name\>.
   You will see a message after installation is completed. For information about the components installed with a plugin, see [Find components installed with an application](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/australia-platform-administration/page/administer/plugins/task/find-components.html). {#t_ActivateConnect__activate-plugin}
