| Asset / Hardware Asset status value | CSDM life cycle value | Notes |
|-|-|-|
| Ordered | Plan / Design | The asset is planned/procured but not yet deployed. |
| In Stock → In Use | Build / Deploy | Assets are configured and then deployed for consumption. |
| In Use / In Maintenance | Consume / Operate | The asset is actively supporting services or under maintenance. |
| Pending Disposal / Disposed | Retire | Asset life cycle ends. CSDM also transitions to retirement. |
