# Alert data patterns

Before you can define real-time protection policies, you must create your alert data patterns; reusable groups of data patterns that detect and then alert or block sensitive data across your organization.

Role required: data_privacy_admin

To create a new alert data pattern, perform the following procedure:

## Prozedur

1. Navigate to AllSystem SecurityData privacyReal time protectionAlert data patterns.
2. Select Create new.  
   Hinweis:  
   There are several data patterns included with the base system.
3. Fill in the fields on the form:

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Alert pattern configuration name | Name of the alert pattern configuration. |
   | Select data patterns | Names of the data patterns you want to detect for this alert. You can set a maximum of 10 data patterns. |

4. Select Create.  
   The new alert data pattern is added.

## Nächste Maßnahme

The alert data patterns you create show in the main view. You can edit or delete them by selecting the appropriate option from their Actions menu.
