Access Simulator helps you pre-validate how access to a specified table would change once a role or group is assigned or removed from the user.

Use Access Simulator to simulate access requirements of your users on a specified table and understand how the access controls changes for a user. It helps in quickly troubleshooting and validating the effectiveness of changes.

Use Access Simulator to pre-validate access for a selected user by:

* [Adding Roles to users](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/uCZQCgiInxuyf7E6qrjnVA "Use the Simulate Add Role for simulating the user's access changes for a resource (table).")
* [Removing Roles from users](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/x3Gkz~g2ZBrIjaCvHhO9xg "Use the Simulate Remove Role for simulating the user's access changes for a resource (tables).")
* [Adding users to Groups](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/boKxXepcPcN57l9g5yJbfA "Use the Simulate Add to Group for simulating the user's access changes for a resource (table).")
* [Removing users from Groups](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/6S6MookeKpyUOB7pAJrxWA "Use the Simulate Remove from Group for simulating the user's access changes for a resource (table).")
