Link a website in HTML editor

    • You can insert a link to a website in an HTML field.

    Vorbereitungen

    Role required: the role necessary to update the record that contains the HTML field. For example, any user with a role can create a knowledge article and link to a website in the article text.

    Prozedur

    1. Move the cursor to the position where the link is to appear.
    2. Click the insert/edit link icon (Insert or edit link icon) in the HTML toolbar.
    3. Enter information in each field.

      Field Description
      URL Enter the URL for the link. Copying and pasting is usually the easiest method.
      Text Enter the text you want to display for the link.
      Target Select the target window for the URL.

      For files, the None (use implicit) selection is generally the best choice. However, if you are linking to a complete web page, choose New window (_blank) so the browser opens the link in a new tab or window.
    4. Click OK to insert the link into the field.
