# Retiring or archiving versioned specifications and product offerings {#ariaid-title1}

As a product catalog manager, you can move a published specification or a product offering to a Retired or Archived state when they are no longer in use or are being sold. When you retire a specification version, you can't use
it in a product offering or create specification versions.
