# Assign territory on consumer

# Assign a territory on consumer {#ariaid-title1}

You can update the primary territory on a consumer in which Sales Territory Management has been implemented.

## Vorbereitungen

Role required: sales territory admin (or a user with sales territory override role)

## Prozedur

1. In the CSM Configurable Workspace, select the List ![]() view.
2. Navigate to CustomerConsumers and select the consumer you want to update the territory.
3. On the Details tab, update the Sales OwnershipPrimary Sales Territory field with the other available territories.
4. Select Save.
