# Create an initiative

# Create an improvement initiative from Process Mining {#ariaid-title1}

Create an improvement initiative associated with the project you're analyzing in Process Mining.

## Vorbereitungen

Role required: sn_process_mining_analyst, sn_process_mining_power_user, or sn_process_mining_admin

## Prozedur

1. Open the project view. {#create-improvement-initiative__open-project-view}

2. Open a new Improvement Initiative from one of the following ways:
   * Select the overview panel menu ![Project overview panel menu]() and select New Improvement Initiative.
   * From the Notes and initiatives panel:

   1. Select the Initiatives icon (![improve initiative icon]()).
   2. Select CreateNew Initiative

   {#create-improvement-initiative__substeps_create_initiative}  
   A new Improvement Initiative form displays in a separate tab.
3. Fill in the form fields.  
   All mandatory fields in the form are prefilled for ease of use.

4. **Wahlweise:** If you want to attach a supporting document, select Browse and select the file.
5. Select Save.
6. From the project view, select the Initiatives icon to refresh the list.

## Ergebnisse

You can view the improvement initiative created for the project.

## Nächste Maßnahme

To change a record, from the CIM record:

* Update a record: Make a change on the record, then select Save.
* Delete an initiative: From the record, select the menu icon and select Delete.
