# Configure automated root cause analysis {#ariaid-title1}

Configure automated root cause analysis from the process configuration record.

## Vorbereitungen

Role required:sn_process_mining_admin, sn_process_mining_power_user, or sn_process_mining_analyst

## Prozedur

1. Navigate to AllProcess MiningProcess Configurations.
2. Open the process configuration for which you want to configure the automated root cause analysis.  
   Alternately, you can also choose to create a new process configuration by selecting New. For more information, see [Create process configuration using Classic view](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/9d7hI4Yhq6SmbYJzBBMrww "Create a process configuration for a table to use the same default configuration whenever you use the table to create your projects.") to set it in the Classic view and [Configure investigative features](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/qlNT_imChpPFgYVYtxGcTw "Configure investigative features to set advanced analytics features for a process.") to set it from the guided Process Configurations set up.
3. On the Automated Root Cause Analysis tab, select the fields that you want to include in the analysis.
4. Select Submit or Update.

## Ergebnisse

Automated root cause analysis is configured for the table.
