# Calendar report example

# Calendar report data visualization example {#ariaid-title1}

The calendar report data visualization shows date-driven events on a calendar grid.

## Vorbereitungen

Role required: Anyone with access to data can create a visualization of that data on any dashboard that they can edit. Users with the itil, report_user, admin, or viz_creator role can create a visualization in the Visualization Designer. When you create a visualization in the Visualization Designer, it is saved to the Library. Only users who have one of the required roles can view reports that contain the restricted resource.") and [Platform Analytics roles](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/PeMP6xvkQcdLfzdN2uLgsw "Platform Analytics has both unique roles and roles from other applications that apply to it.").

## Prozedur

1. Follow the first steps to [Create a calendar report data visualization](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/FnnDNUpcP1CrM5yPMda6~g "Create calendar report visualizations to show and highlight date-driven events."):
   1. Navigate to WorkspacesPlatform Analytics Workspace, or another workspace that has the Analytics Overview (![Analytics center icon]()) component. The workspaces you have access to may differ. {#dv-example-calendar__ph_yvn_xvt_4tb}
   2. Select the Data Visualizations tab.
   3. Select New. {#dv-example-calendar__ph_mdy_zvt_4tb}
   4. Select the Calendar (![Calendar icon]()) visualization type.

2. For the moment, we can skip the header and border section and move to the data source.
   1. Select Add data source.
   2. Choose the Incident \[incident\] table.
   3. Because we're interested in open incidents, let's add the Incidents.Open condition so the visualization only shows the number of active incidents.
