# Assign roles for Benchmarks users {#ariaid-title1}

Assign roles for Benchmarks users based on their access requirements.

## Vorbereitungen

Role required: sn_bm_client.benchmark_admin

## Prozedur

1. Opt in for the Benchmarks application.  
   For more information, see [Enable Benchmarks](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/OT8uOSrPDm98_j2vVFB9SA "Configure the Benchmarks application for your company to enable your company to compare performance with industry peers. You can opt out of Benchmarks at any time.").
2. On the Benchmarks configuration page, locate the User roles section and select Configure.
3. On the User roles page, select a role from the Select role drop-down list.  
   A list of users currently assigned the selected role and a graph showing the distribution of users in different roles are displayed.

4. Add users to a role list.
   1. Select Add User.
   2. Start typing the user name and select from the drop-down list.
   3. Select Save.

5. Remove users from a role list.
   1. Select the check box next to the user name you want to remove.
   2. Select Remove user.
