Manually create an SRM template

  • Templates help you quickly create Service Reliability Management (SRM) incidents, services, or teams from existing forms.

    Prozedur

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Service Operations Workspace.
      You're taken to your SRM Home page.
      Hinweis:
      If you use other Service Operations Workspace (SOW) applications, you may see the SOW Home page instead of the SRM Home page. The SOW Home page includes SRM alerts and incidents in its metrics.
    2. From the primary navigation, select Reliability tasks, Services, or Teams.
    3. Open an incident, service, or team.
    4. In the side panel, select the Templates icon Templates icon and then select Create.
    5. Fill in the fields on the Create New Template form.

      Field Description
      Name Name of the table. Keep or edit the default entry.
      Domain Select the SRM domain for the template.
      Table Table that this template applies to. Select Global to make the template available for use with all tables.
      Hinweis:
      The table list shows only the tables and database views in the same scope as the template.
      User The individual who can configure and apply the template. By default, User is set to the template creator.
      Assignment group Select a team to work on the incident by entering or searching team names.
      Active check box The state of the template, which is active by default. Clear the check box to deactivate the template.
      Groups Group whose members can configure and apply the template. If you define a group, no other groups can see the template unless you select the Global option.
      Global check box Read-only. Select this option to let any user access and apply the template. This option isn't implemented for SRM.
      Short description Add a description of the template indicating its use.
      Template

      Populate records with predefined values by selecting Field and Update to values. When you apply the template, the selected fields are set to the predefined values.

      Hinweis:
      You can select dot-walked fields, however, their values don’t transfer to fields displayed on the form.
      Select a field. The choices are:
      • Cost center
      • Default assignee
      • Description
      • Exclude manager
      • Group email
      • Include members
      • Manager
      • Name
      • Parent
      • Roles
      • Source
      • Type
    6. Select Save.

      SRM creates the template, and it appears in the Templates panel.
