Discovery identifies and
classifies information about AIX servers.

## Credentials {#r_DataCollDiscoAIXComputers__section_fh2_vjf_nbb}

For a list of privileged commands that you need for Discovery

includes commands that require elevated rights to discover and map Unix-based hosts in
your organization.

Use OpenSSH version 7.5.102 and above for AIX machines since lower versions of OpenSSH can
impact the discovered devices that are encountered with Discovery.

## Resolve AIX Server pattern extension LPAR discovery fails because MISSING_DEPENDENCY error {#r_DataCollDiscoAIXComputers__section_zvt_t5n_hcc}

If locale of AIX Server is ja_JP.UTF-8, the AIX Server pattern extension LPAR discovery fails because of a MISSING_DEPENDENCY error and returns the search in Japanese. To resolve this issue, follow the steps in the [LPAR discovery in AIX Server pattern fails with MISSING_DEPENDENCY In payload no relations defined for dependent class \[cmdb_ci_lpar_instance\] that matches any containment/hosting rules:
