# Stop extraction of unneeded log data in Health Log Analytics {#ariaid-title1}

If an extracted string of data is not descriptive enough or contains redundant text or information, you can set Health Log Analytics to stop extracting such data from your logs.

## Vorbereitungen

Role required: evt_mgmt_admin

## Prozedur

1. Navigate to AllHealth Log AnalyticsMappingExcluded values.
2. Select New.
3. In the Value to exclude field, enter the string that you want Health Log Analytics to stop extracting.
4. **Wahlweise:** Further specify the values to stop extracting by selecting additional options:  
   * Starts with
   * Ends with
   * Contains
   * Case sensitive
   {#hla-log-data-exclude__ul_dfn_rm4_3nb}
5. **Wahlweise:** In the Description field, add a description of the value.
6. Select Submit.
