Integrate Instana with Event Management by adding Instana as an authenticated data source.

## What authentication is used {#instana-integration__section_xfd_qlq_cnb}

The methods of authentication are as follows:

* Basic webhook authentication: Provides a basic standard of authentication, using username and password.
