# Attest or Reject Certificate Ownership by Email

# Attest or Reject Certificate Ownership by Email {#ariaid-title1}

Attest or reject ownership of a certificate from your certification attestation email notification.

## Vorbereitungen

Confirm that your system is configured to send certificate attestation notifications. For more information, see [Configure a certificate attestation review](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/dH3ckXoFih0zN9u7eP7Eow "Send out emails to all certificate owners confirming their ownership or confirming they're no longer certificate owners at set intervals.").

Role required: pki_admin or admin

## Prozedur

1. Select Review CIsin your email notification.
2. Select each certificate by selecting the check box next to it.
3. Select Attest
4. Select all certificates you wish to reject.
5. Select Reject
   1. Fill in the text box that appears explaining why you are rejecting the certificate.
6. Select Submit.
7. Select Submit at the Submit Attestation confirmation window.

## Ergebnisse

For the certificates that you attest ownership, you will receive further notifications at monthly intervals, unless otherwise configured. For the certificates that you reject ownership, you will no longer receive certificate attestation notifications.
