Portal Quick Links widget instance options form

    • The instance options enable you to configure the Portal Quick Links widget on a portal page.

    Table 1. Presentation fields on the Instance form
    Instance option Description
    Title Required title of a Portal Quick Links widget. The default text is Quick Links.
    Show Carousel Option to switch between carousel view and grid view.
    Quick Links Field from which you can select the catalog items, knowledge articles, or URL to show as quick links on the widget.

    By default, this field is set to the pre-defined Quick Links from the sn_ex_sp_quick_link table.

    You can also create a quick link and add it to the Quick Links [sn_ex_sp_quick_link] table. For more information, see Create a quick link.

    You can display title, short description, background image, and icon fields on the card in the widget.

    Following are the fields of the table
    • Content type: options are: article, catalog item, external link and page
    • Content: select the content
    • Quicklink name
    • Title: Displays as a title of quick link card
    • Short description: Displays as description of quick link card
    • Background image: Displays as thumbnail quick link card when card display style is thumbnail
    • Icon: Displays as an icon on quick link card when card display style is icon on top or left

    Instance option Description
    Card Display Style Display the style of a card tile on the widget.
    The available options are:
    • Thumbnail
    • Icon on top
    • Icon on left
    • Simple text
    • Tile only

    The default display style is Thumbnail.

    Note:
    Currently, if you select None, the style is set to Thumbnail.
