Edit knowledge base settings to configure workflows, ownership, and management for Core Business Suite knowledge bases.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_cbs.admin  
Note:  
You can add additional owners and managers to the Knowledge Base beyond the CBS admin. For more information, see [Edit Knowledge Base form](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/Wlw9ibMgNZEXxiv3cuv7ow "Edit any Knowledge Base settings by filling in the form fields to define workflows, ownership, and management. You can apply separate settings for different Knowledge bases across your organization.").

## About this task

Modify knowledge base settings to control how articles are published, retired, and managed across your organization.{#edit-kb-cbs__edit-kb-cbs-context-1}

## Procedure

1. Navigate to Core Business SuiteConfigure.
2. Select Knowledge in Core Business Suite module under the Configuration Console.  
   You can perform the same steps to edit knowledge bases under each business unit module.
3. Select the gear icon ![gear icon to get to Knowledge Base settings.]() on the default Knowledge Base at the Core Business Suite level or at a business unit-level.
4. You're on the Settings tab.
5. On the Edit knowledge base form, fill in the fields and select Save.

## Result

You have edited the default Knowledge Base settings to your requirement. You can navigate to the default permission records from the same page to manage permissions.
