Create a skill for the conversational action and make the skill available for users in a conversation. You can have multiple skills for the same action.

## Before you begin

Role required:

* admin or flow_designer
* now.assist.creator
{#create-conversational-action-skill__ul_fqj_blt_y2c}

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllProcess AutomationWorkflow Studio.
2. On the home page, select Actions.
3. From the list of actions, select the action for which you want to create the skill.
4. From the side panel, open Conversational settings (![Option on the side panel to open conversational settings.]()).
   If the action already contains skills, the conversational settings displays a list of the exiting skills with an option to create a new skill.
5. Select Create a new skill.
6. **Optional:** Select Generate skill metadata to generate descriptions for the skill and the inputs and outputs using generative AI.
7. Specify the settings as described in the topic [Configure action conversational settings](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/oigfjjPotlZtWKPqIM1c5w "Configure conversation settings to make an action available to conversational interfaces.").
8. Save the skill.
   You can also test the skill by selecting Save and test.
