# Focus the Navigator panel on an app or app file {#ariaid-title1}

Focus the Navigator panel on any open app or app file in ServiceNow Studio so the Navigator panel reflects your current work context.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin or delegated_developer

Watch a short video on how to focus the Navigator panel on an app or app file.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllApp EngineServiceNow Studio.
2. Open several files from different applications in the Navigator panel.
3. Select and hold (or right-click) the tab of the file you want to focus on, then select Show in File Navigator.  
   In this example, the file open in the canvas and the Navigator panel are both from the Dining Pass Share application.

4. Verify that the Navigator panel now shows the selected file.  
   The Navigator panel displays the selected file's location --- for example, the Vendor table from the Equip Inventory Suite application --- even with other application files still open.  
   Note:  
   The file open in the canvas stays the same until you select a different tab.
