Architecture Analyzer page in the Enterprise Architecture Workspace

The Architecture Analyzer is a lightweight exploration tool for rapid, on demand analysis. You can use it when you want to quickly analyze entity relationships and understand dependencies without the overhead of maintaining a versioned diagram.

The Architecture Analyzer provides you with an interactive exploration canvas to visualize relationships between architectural entities such as business applications, business capabilities, application services, and information objects. By mapping the upstream and downstream relationships, you can also assess the impact of architectural changes and perform high-level architecture analysis.

Explorations are auto-saved, enabling you to continue your analysis from where you last left off.

You can perform the following on the architecture analyzer page:
    • Add architectural entities and visualize their relationships
    • Add any supported architectural entity type to the canvas by selecting the entity class and searching for a specific record

The available architectural entities drop-down list on the Architectural Analyzer page.

    • Expand analysis by adding upstream and downstream related records from any element on the canvas

The add related records pop-up window on the Architecture Analyzer page.

    • Tweak the canvas display according to your requirement by performing the following:
      • To hide the left navigation pane and the Add to canvas boxes, select the toggle full-screen icon (Toggle full-screen icon)
      • To hide just the left navigation pane, select the toggle sidebar icon (Toggle sidebar icon)
      • To clear all entities from the canvas, select the Clear button (Clear button icon)
      • To download the exploration canvas in image format, select the download as an image icon (Download icon)
